For AshleyMadison.co.uk this need for reinvention wasn't so much a choice as a necessity, owing to their huge media attention a few years back, which really tested the old adage that any publicity is good publicity. Nevertheless, the company has since dusted itself off, learned from the experience and moved on. They still have a great looking site, various excellent mobile apps and boast membership figures over the 50 million mark. Plus, most importantly for its members, the site now fights harder than most to ensure it's registrations are genuine and it's users discreet.

Some new features that our review team were particularly impressed with were things like the ability to obscure your member photo to help keep your identity hidden (e.g by adding a mask), a 'pay as you go' credit system rather than a monthly subscription model, and a cool button that let's you log off super-fast if you hear your wife or kids running up the stairs! The site is cleaner and simpler than ever and this can only be a good thing.

AshleyMadison.co.uk has still kept a lot of the more popular older features, too, such as the 'Traveling Man' option which allows you to send out a bulk message to members that are nearby a city you have plans to travel to (perhaps for a business trip). Moreover, they still make sure that credit cards aren't billed with anything that could connect you to an affairs dating site.

In terms of free functionality, we were pleased to see that advanced searches can still be run without the need to purchase credits. In addition, it's members' profiles can be looked at in detail without the need for any upgrade, letting you read some information about each horny dater that catches your eye. Of course, personal details like names, emails, phone numbers and addresses are not available on Ashley Madison. Communication is limited to their messaging system to ensure everything remains anonymous during the process of arranging a discreet meet.

In general, our reviewers feel that AshleyMadison.co.uk is a site that doesn't feel the need to overcomplicate the user experience. Where some competitors (please check out our other affair dating site reviews) offer blogs, site polls, chat rooms, etc Ashley Madison let's you focus on keeping your profile updated, searching for the sidedish you've been dreaming of and sending out messages to help you meet that mistress. It's an interesting approach but tends to work well thanks to the large numbers using the site – you'll never really find yourself bored or with time to spare like on other top NSA hookup sites.

One thing our review staff were a little unsure about is whether AshleyMadison.co.uk has lost some of it's edge, now that it has become more of a 'jack of all trades' as opposed to being solely focused on married hookups. It's a tricky one and something that we feel will come down to personal taste.
